2016 has been a busy year for us at Hub Le Bas. As we enter a new phase of expansion, we’re re-establishing ourselves as Britain’s leading precision steel supplier; building on major client gains from the last 12 months.
The roots of our company go back over a century and since being acquired by global steel and engineering business, Liberty House Group, in December 2015, we’ve already regained more than 75% of our client base. We expect this rapid recovery to be complete within the coming months.
Buoyed by the strength of our comeback, we’re now planning to add two new sites to our existing five-strong UK network. Hub Le Bas supply to industries as diverse as automotive, defence, construction & medical and we’re also looking to invest nearly £2 million in advanced laser cutting equipment to further boost our quality and productivity.
The new laser cutting machines will be located at our London, Manchester and Leicester branches, supplementing the existing capacity at our Bilston site in the West Midlands.
Rob Sweetnam, Managing Director of Hub Le Bas, said: “We are experiencing rapid growth in the demand for precision-cut tube components and are taking the necessary steps to respond to customer needs. The use of fully-programmed laser cutting equipment provides clients with improvements in accuracy and quality while also reducing downstream assembly costs.”
The Hub Le Bas portfolio now encompasses 8,000 product lines and we maintain high stock levels to ensure we are able to meet demand from clients of all sizes. Our highly-trained staff are equipped to deliver in-depth product and technical knowledge as well as high levels of customer service.
