On 5 February 2015, Hub Le Bas were named regional runner-up in the Business Growth Category at the EEF/Aldermore Future Manufacturing Awards, sponsored by Westfield Health.

The award celebrates dynamic progression achieved by manufacturers through actively managed and consistently delivered growth strategies.

The Award
Midlands EEF Future Manufacturing Awards recognised Hub Le Bas for its commendable business growth in challenging market conditions.

The judges, comprised of business leaders, industry experts and academics, mentioned that Hub Le Bas have a clear understanding of the importance of new and existing customers. They were impressed by the staff and the way in which employees were managed and encouraged within the company.

The panel were also enthralled by the business’ defined “growth strategy with clear planning process and investment that had led to tangible results”.

Caparo Group
Hub Le Bas’ partner company, Caparo, one of the largest privately owned enterprises in the Midlands, also walked away from the ceremony with an award. Winning first place for Sustainable Manufacturing. Caparo impressed judges with their management skills and continuous improvement. The panel commented on how the company have used their talents to tackle energy reduction, over-achieving by “more than 100%”, stating that Caparo have shown great leadership.

A Great Success
The achievement is a testament to Hub Le Bas’ hard work. The team are delighted that their efforts have been recognised and feel that the award puts Hub Le Bas on the map as a “dynamic and innovative company”.

Chief Executive of Westfield Health, Jill Davies, congratulated Hub Le Bas on their “well deserved success” and emphasised the importance of manufacturing to the UK economy, mentioning that companies must be recognised for their performance and effort.
