Proud To Support Wolverhampton University Race Team

Hub Le Bas are proud supporters of the Wolverhampton University Racing Team which helps students gain first-hand experience of working in a professional race team.

The team allows students to put theory into practice, an act that’s made easier by Hub Le Bas’ annual donation of steel tubing which is used to build and strengthen race-going vehicles.

Between them, students who are part of the Wolverhampton University Race Team have a variety of vehicles to test their skills on, including:

• Formula 3 Dallara F308 with a Honda Mugen engine which runs in the 2017 F3 Cup
• IMechE Formula Student car – Designed, built and driven every year by Wolverhampton University Racing Team in the UK Formula Student event at Silverstone in July
• Morgan Plus 4 Babydoll and ARV6 – Run in the 2016 and 17 AR Morgan Challenge as part of a development program with Morgan Motor Company
• Gould GR55 engine Cosworth HB V8 – Ran in the 2017 British Hillclimb Championship in partnership with the TTC Group
• Formula Renault 2.0 – UWR’s debut car which successfully ran in the 2015 Monoposto 2000 Championship

The team is part of the university’s commitment to produce graduates who can apply both theory and practice in industry, and this is something Hub Le Bas believes in.
